How to Add Transfer Stock in GPOS

This tutorial will guide you through the process of transferring stock from one location/warehouse to another in GPOS.


🛠️ Why You Need to Transfer Stock

  • To move items from one branch/warehouse to another

  • To balance inventory levels between locations

  • To supply products from the central warehouse to retail outlets

  • To keep stock records accurate and updated


📋 Steps to Add Transfer Stock in GPOS

✅ Step 1: Open Transfer Stock Screen

  1. Log in to your GPOS dashboard.

  2. From the side menu, go to the “Transfer” module.

  3. Click on “Add Transfer Stock”.

✅ Step 2: Select Sender Location

  1. Choose the Sender Location (e.g., Smart Solutions).

  2. Select the specific Warehouse from which the stock will be sent.

  3. Enter the Send At details if required.

✅ Step 3: Select Receiver Location

  1. Choose the Receiver Business/BackOffice.

  2. Select the appropriate Warehouse where the stock will be received.

  3. Set the Transfer Date (e.g., 21-08-2025).

✅ Step 4: Add Products to Transfer

  1. Use Search Product By Name/Code to find the item.

  2. Enter the Send Quantity.

  3. Select the Unit (e.g., pcs, box, kg).

  4. Add the Unit Cost (Excl. Tax).

  5. (Optional) Enter the Expire Date if applicable.

  6. The system will auto-calculate the Subtotal for each product.

✅ Step 5: Review Product List

  • The product(s) added will appear in a table with details:
    Product – Send Qty – Unit – Unit Cost – Subtotal

  • You can add multiple products in one transfer.

  • At the bottom, you will see:

    • Total Item & Qty

    • Total Stock Value

✅ Step 6: Add Note (Optional)

  • You can enter any remarks or reference notes related to the transfer.

✅ Step 7: Save and Print

  1. After verifying all details, click “Save” to record the transfer.

  2. If required, click “Print” to generate an A4 transfer slip.

  3. The stock will be deducted from the sender’s warehouse and added to the receiver’s warehouse accordingly.

  • Only authorized users can perform stock transfers.

  • Every transfer is logged for auditing and tracking.

  • Stock value and inventory levels update in real time.

  • Always double-check the sender and receiver warehouses before saving.

  • Ensure product quantity is correct to avoid mismatched inventory.

  • Use a barcode scanner for faster product selection.
