How to Bulk Update Products in GPOS

This tutorial will guide you through the process of updating multiple products at once using the Bulk Update feature in GPOS.

🛠️ Why You Might Need a Bulk Update

  • To update product prices across multiple items

  • To modify tax rates or profit margins in bulk

  • To add or adjust opening stock for multiple products

  • To save time, instead of editing products one by one

  1. Log in to your GPOS dashboard.

  3. Click on “Bulk Update”.

✅ Step 2: View Product List

  2. You can choose how many entries to display at once (e.g., 10, 25, 50, 100).

  3. Use the Search bar to quickly find specific products by Name, Category, Brand, or Tax.

✅ Step 3: Update Product Details

  • Name – Product name

  • Category & Subcategory – Assign or change classification

  • Brand – Set or update brand name

  • Tax & Tax Applicable For – Apply GST/VAT rules

  • Unit Cost (U/C) – Base cost of product

  • Profit Margin (%) (P/M) – Desired profit percentage

  • Unit Price (U/P) – Selling price of the item

  • Opening Stock (O/S) – Enter current stock levels

👉 You can also define stock for different locations, such as Wholesale and Showroom.

✅ Step 4: Save Updates

  1. After making changes, click the “Save” button.

  2. The system will automatically update all selected products in one go.

  3. Inventory and pricing changes will reflect immediately in sales and reports.

🔐 Important Notes

  • Only authorized users can perform bulk updates.

  • All updates are logged for audit and tracking.

  • Ensure data accuracy before saving, as bulk changes affect multiple products at once.

🎯 Tips

  • Use Search filters to update specific product groups quickly (e.g., all products in a certain brand).

  • Regularly review profit margins and tax settings to keep pricing accurate.

  • Export product data before updating, so you always have a backup copy.

By following these steps, you can easily manage large product lists in GPOS and save valuable time with the Bulk Update feature.
