How to Add Variants of Products in GPOS

This tutorial will guide you through the step-by-step process of adding product variants in GPOS. Variants allow you to manage products that come in different sizes, colors, or other options while keeping them under the same main product.

📋 Steps to Add Variants of Products in GPOS

✅ Step 1: Go to the Product List

  1. Log in to your GPOS dashboard.

  2. From the side menu, navigate to the “Products” module.

  3. Click on “Product List”.

✅ Step 2: Select or Create the Main Product

  1. Find the product for which you want to add variants.

  2. If the product does not exist, create a new product first.

  3. Once selected, go to the “Variants” section.

✅ Step 3: Add Variant Details

  1. Click on “Add Variant”.

  2. Fill in the variant information:

    Field Description
    Variant Name The main variant category (e.g., Size, Color, Weight)
    Variant Child The specific options under the variant (e.g., Small, Medium, Large OR Red, Blue)
    Created By The user who added the variant (auto-filled or selectable)

  3. You can add multiple variant children under the same variant name.

✅ Step 4: Save the Variants

  1. After entering all details, click “Save”.

  2. The system will link the variants to the main product.

  3. Now, during billing, you can easily select the correct product variant.

  • Variants help avoid duplicate product entries.

  • Inventory is tracked separately for each product variant.

  • Only authorized users can add or edit variants.
